Hey, Felicia! You should come down to [ club heeeere ]. All drinks are on the house tonight.

We'll be here for another hour. Just let the bouncer know Kate invited you. You should come out, Felicia. The crowd's more exciting.

[ Just the sound of cars passing and disgruntled voices. Kate sounds a bit disappointed herself. ]

[ What is even going on. ]

I might be able to make it over. Just what's the rush?

Night won't be here forever.

I've got to jog over to a grocery store, too, before I get back.

[ Nothing's even open. ]

But the clubs will be. I do have to get dressed.

[ A pause. ]

What? [ She stops for the briefest second, but realizes her mistake once she finds herself doubling over and moaning. ] No...

[ She picks up the pace and firmly: ] No.

[ Warily, not sure what to make of that response: ]

All right, if you say so. [ A pause. ] I can meet you in twenty minutes, but that's the fastest I can go.

[gevurah]

Mm... [ She mulls over it. ] Twenty minutes is a long time. I think I'll go back and find the others. We can do this another time. Not like we're going anywhere for a while.

[ She sounds disappointed... and on something at the same time. ]

Takes time to get an outfit together. Hair. Makeup. Raincheck's all right. You sure you're all right?

You could do all that on the way over.

[ She did. Small mirrors are handy! ]

[ Squinting so hard. Bad breakup, maybe? Was Kate seeing anyone...? Felicia hadn't thought so, but maybe she was just missing a piece here. ]
